The heart of the cruise is a day spent travelling through the engineering marvel of the Panama Canal. Wednesday, March 11: San Diego, California, USA
Embark your ship in San Diego and meet your fellow travellers as you settle in and prepare for your adventure.

Thursday & Friday, March 12 & 13: At Sea
As you travel south, acquaint yourself with the ship’s amenities and activities, including music performances, workshops, a spa, BBC Earth Experiences, and much more. Or just relax on deck and enjoy the spectacular ocean views.

Saturday, March 14: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
At your first port of call, acquaint yourself with the colonial-era charm of Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific Ocean. Optional excursions include discovering the Mexican countryside on horseback, exploring Puerto Vallarta’s beautiful downtown including the Our Lady of Guadalupe Cathedral, or going on a Jeep safari ending with time to relax on the beach.

Sunday, March 15: At Sea


Continuing south along the Mexican coast, spend more time enjoying everything your well-appointed cruise ship has to offer.

Monday, March 16: Huatulco, Mexico
Huatulco’s incredible natural scenery will not disappoint. Optional excursions include taking a sailboat through some of Huatulco’s most beautiful bays, going deep-sea fishing on a fully-equipped fishing boat, visiting local homes in small communities to get a glimpse into the heart of local culture, or going to the Hagia Sophia (Sacred Wisdom) project which provides regional farmers with more productive and environmentally friendly crops.

Tuesday, March 17: Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala


At Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala’s largest Pacific port, you’re perfectly located for access to many of the country’s attractions. Optional excursions include visiting the ancient ruins of Iximche to learn about Mayan history, taking a boat ride across the volcanic-formed Lake Atitlan which has been called the most beautiful lake in the world, exploring the city of Antigua including a shopping at a jade museum and factory, or visiting a coffee plantation with opportunity to taste the coffee they grow.

Wednesday, March 18: Corinto, Nicaragua
On your visit to the diverse and fascinating country of Nicaragua, Corinto is your gateway to discovery. Optional excursions include visiting the first botanic garden in Central America, interacting with Nicaraguan children at the educational centre Betania Foundation, exploring the Chorotega Museum to see a large collection of pre-Columbian artifacts, or touring the charming historical city of León.

Thursday, March 19: Puerto Caldera (Puntarenas), Costa Rica


At Puerto Caldera and its surrounding region, be introduced to Costa Rica’s many attractions. Optional excursions include meeting exotic wildlife at the Costa Rica Animal Rescue Centre, experiencing the thrill of travelling through the tropical forest canopy by zipline and aerial tram, observing the work of skilled artisans at an oxcart factory, or travelling through a mangrove forest on a comfortable open-sided boat to see local plants and animals.

Saturday, March 21: Panama Canal Cruising
The Panama Canal is a monument to the powers of human engineering, a route across the continent that was first completed over a century ago but continues to be a vital part of the modern shipping industry. The Panama Canal is considered by some to be one of the seven wonders of the modern world. As you marvel at the canal on your way through from Balboa to Cristobal, you’ll pass by colonial towns, historic fortresses and manmade lakes that are today home to sanctuaries for hundreds of different animal and plant species.

Having traversed to the other side of the Americas, continue your cruise as you round the northern coast of South America.

Monday, March 23: Oranjestad, Aruba


On the windswept island of Aruba, discover more tropical beauty. Optional excursions include a catamaran cruise along Aruba’s coastline at sunset, relaxing on one of Aruba’s white-sand beaches, visiting a butterfly farm and the incredible Ayo Rock Formation, or going snorkeling at reefs and shipwrecks.

Tuesday, March 24: Willemstad, Curaçao


Willemstad, the capital of Curaçao, was founded by the Dutch nearly 400 years ago. Its historic centre is a unique mix of Dutch and Caribbean influence, and the city is surrounded by natural wonders. Optional excursions include viewing sea life underwater in a semi-submarine, watching a charming traditional folkloric show, participating in an interactive dolphin program, or learning about two of Curaçao’s fascinating industries on visits to an ostrich farm and an aloe vera farm.

Wednesday & Thursday, March 25 & 26: At Sea
As you near the end of your cruise on your journey northwards once more, reflect on everything you’ve seen and experienced over the last weeks. You could even take advantage of the onboard digital workshop to learn how to edit, display, and share all the photographs you’ve taken on your travels.

Friday, March 27: Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA
Leave your cruise ship for the final time. Say farewell to your travelling companions as you journey back home, or take the time for one last optional excursion in the Fort Lauderdale area. Options include an airboat ride through the Everglades, a paddlewheel boat ride down the Intracoastal Waterway, or a visit to the impressive shopping complex at Sawgrass Mill Mall.
